Law finally catches up with senior citizen with drug raps

AFTER eluding arrest for the past several months, a sexagenarian is finally behind bars.

Dolores Quijano Aro, 66, was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Mandaue Field Unit, City Mobile Force Company of the Cebu City Police Office, 1st Philippine Mobile Force Company of the Cebu Provincial Police Office, Regional Intelligence Unit 7 and Consolacion police at Block 1, Belgium St., Barangay Suba, Cebu City past 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022.

They were armed with an arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 21 Judge Pamela Altar last Aug. 11.

Aro is facing a case for violating Sections 5 (sale of illegal drugs) and 11 (possession of illegal drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.

She is currently detained at the CIDG 7 stockade. (BBT)
