Sunnexdesk

THE Lions Green Team Project aims to help the reforestation and rehabilitation of forest cover in the Central Cebu Protected Landscape.

Members of University of the San Carlos Campus Lions Club and Cebu Centennial Lions Club together with the staff of Buildcomm Center, Fillwise Fuel Service Stations Inc. and KGK Management Inc. supported the reforestation program of the Philippine Business for Social Progress. They planted 2,500 seedlings in Barangay Buhisan, Cebu City.

The one-hectare plantation in Central Cebu Protected Landscape will be maintained for a period of two years from September 2018 to October 2020. The maintenance and protection activities include ring weeding or the removal of weeds growing around the tree, strip brushing or the removal of weeds and shrubs in each strip or line of trees, and re-planting or replacement of dead trees.
