A 32-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after he allegedly robbed a department store where he is working in Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City at Wednesday dawn, August 21, 2019.

Operatives of Cebu City Police Station 7 nabbed Jeffrey Balesoro, who hails from Alicia town in Zamboanga Sibugay but is temporarily residing on Cabreros St., Barangay Basak San Nicolas in Cebu City.

Recovered from Balesoro’s possession were the jewelry he stole from the department store worth P240,848.

Police Staff Sergeant Junre Opalla of the Pardo Police Station said Balesoro was caught by the department store’s close circuit television (CCTV) cameras passing through the ceiling of the department store before disconnecting them once he got inside.

A colleague of Balesoro working at the store positively identified the suspect.

Balesoro was arrested around 1 p.m Wednesday and was temporarily detained at the said station. He will face appropriate charges for theft. (SunStar Cebu)
