A 21-YEAR-OLD jobless man was shot dead by an unidentified gunman around 1 p.m. Monday, October 22, in Sitio Continental, Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City.

Police identified the fatality as James Edward Sillar Hugo, a resident of Sitio Continental.

It was Hugo's aunt who called the San Nicolas Barangay Hall to ask for police assistance after seeing her nephew bathed in his own blood.

Hugo's aunt was eating her lunch when she heard bursts of gunfire. It was only after she looked when she discovered that it was her nephew who got shot.

A team from Cebu City Emergency Medical Services arrived at the crime scene. They checked Hugo's vital signs, but the victim was not breathing and had no pulse.

Investigators from Mambaling Police Station are eyeing personal grudge as the motive behind the attack. (KAL)
