Mandaue’s most wanted, killed

A MAN considered to be Mandaue City’s most wanted and his cohort were killed during a police encounter in Sitio Latasan, Brgy. Labogon, Mandaue City at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2020.

He was identified as Allan Ouano of Sitio Cardava, Brgy. Basak, Mandaue City and is one of the top 10 most wanted people in the region.

Ouano was a notorious drug personality and had a warrant of arrest for murder, frustrated murder, homicide and gun-for-hire charges.

One member of his cohort was identified as Joaquin Tugono Pepito, 18, a resident of Brgy. Poblacion Occidental, Consolacion.

PSMS Allain Carado, the desk officer on duty at the Basak Police Station told Sunstar Cebu that they received a report from a concerned citizen that there were two armed men in his area and identified one of them as Ouano, the most wanted in the region.

Police immediately responded to the area and raided Ouano’s house.

When police arrived at the scene, two suspects opened fire at them which prompted them to fire back.

The Brgy. Ibabao Medical Team quickly responded to the area with an ambulance but as they assessed the bodies, there were no signs of life and they did not have a pulse.

The recovered pieces of evidence from the area from Ouano were a revolver with live ammunition, one misfired and a fired cartridge.

From Pepito was a revolver with live ammunition, two misfired and a fired cartridge.

A certain Angga Maturan had already claimed and transported the body of the suspects the following morning to Brgy. Catarman, Lilo-an, Cebu.

Carado said the investigators have yet to determine the relationship between Ouano and Pepito. (KFD / JGS)
