Mandaue logs 5 new cases: 3 inmates, 2 residents

FIVE new confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases have been reported in Mandaue City Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

The Mandaue City Public Information Office (PIO) said in a Facebook post that out of the five new cases, three are inmates of the Mandaue City Jail.

One of the new cases is Patient MC233, a 60-year-old female from Sitio Ilog, Barangay Opao, Mandaue City.

Another case was tagged as Patient MC234, a 39-year-old male from Barangay Cabancalan, Mandaue City.

The Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office personnel have decontaminated the residence of the patients.

Contact tracing is also ongoing, said the Mandaue City PIO.

Mandaue City now has 234 confirmed Covid-19 cases, with eight recoveries and four deaths. (KFD)
