THE Regional Mobile Force Battalion in Central Visayas (RMFB 7) is on alert after two intelligence officers of the Philippine Army were killed in an ambush reportedly done by New People’s Army (NPA) rebels in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ronan Claravall, force commander of RMFB 7, said they have to be vigilant against possible attacks by the NPA in Negros Oriental.

The RMFB 7 has two units in Negros Oriental -- the 704th maneuver company in Mabinay town and 705th maneuver company in Santa Catalina.

Claravall said they strengthened their anti-insurgency operations due to the series of attacks by the NPA in Samar and Negros Occidental recently. (AYB, TPT)
