P1.1-M shabu seized from new drug player in Talisay

A 36-YEAR-OLD newly identified drug player was caught at 9 p.m. Monday, October 22, in Sitio Kimba, Barangay Cansojong, Talisay City, Cebu.

City Police Chief Marlu Conag identified the suspect as Ramses Mendoza Abatayo, who yielded 100 grams of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu.

The contraband is worth P1.1 million, a Dangerous Drugs Board value.

The arrest came after the police validated the report on the suspect's involvement in illegal drugs.

Abatayo is a resident of Sitio Sangi, Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City. He will be facing complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Selling dangerous drugs is a non-bailable offense. (KAL)
