CLOSE to P1.3 million worth of illegal drugs were recovered from a suspected drug pusher during a drug bust inside a private subdivision in Barangay Poblacion, Talisay City on Wednesday afternoon, February 13.

Joint operatives of the Police Regional Office 7’s Special Operations Unit and Talisay City Police Station led by Superintendent Marlu Conag arrested Kevin Sanchez Abadejos, 23, during a drug bust inside his home in Carmen Village, Barangay Poblacion at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Recovered from Abadejos were seven small packs, two medium packs, and large packs containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with an estimated combine weight of 185 grams.

The illegal drugs recovered from Abadejos had an estimated market value of P1.25 million.

In an interview, Conag said that Abadejos was identified as a member of a big-time illegal drug group operating in the cities of Cebu and Talisay.

Conag said they are still conducting investigation to determine who Abadejos’ contacts are in preparation for more operations against his cohorts in the illegal drug trade.
