MORE than three kilos of suspected shabu worth P36.3 million were confiscated from four persons in a drug bust in Barangay Sambag 2, Cebu City Friday evening, November 30.

Authorities also arrested suspected drug pushers Michael Carabaña, 28, the subject of the operation; Agustin Quijano, 34; Jemuel Enrile, 24; and Arnold Arquiza, 37.

The drug bust was conducted by the Guadalupe Police Station personnel on Urgello Street, Barangay Sambag 2.

Senior Superintedent Royina Garma, chief of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), said there is a strong demand for shabu (methamphethamine hydrochloride) among users because of the large amount of drugs they confiscate from recent drug busts.

"In less than a month, around P90 million. So meaning may market (there is a market)," she said in an interview with reporters. (JOB)
