P700K worth of shabu seized from cousins in Mandaue raid

A RAID conducted by members of the Centro Police Station in Sitio Pulang-Bukid, Barangay Alang-Alang, Mandaue City on Saturday night, February 4, 2023, resulted in the arrest of two cousins.

The operation was led by Captain Jessie Tañola, the deputy station commander.

Major Erwin Abrasado, station chief, identified the suspects as 36-year-old Alcio Gabutan Cacanog, alias Titing, and 20-year-old Kier Louies Cacanog Brigol.

The two are residents of Purok Carrots, Dap-Dap, Barangay Catarman in the northern town of Liloan, Cebu.

Abrasado said they were able to seize 105 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P700,000 during the raid, which took place around 10:30 p.m.

The station chief said the suspects could dispose of 100 to 200 grams of shabu every week.

He said that aside from Mandaue City, Cacanog and Brigoli also operated in Liloan and its neighboring town of Consolacion. (BBT / PJB)
