Passenger bus bursts into flames in Naga

A PASSENGER bus bound for Cebu city was suddenly engulfed in flames in front of a power plant in Barangay Colon, City of Naga Monday night, November 26.

In a report provided by the City of Naga Police Station, the passenger bus, owned and operated by the Librando Transportation Inc, was traveling from Badian, Southern Cebu to Cebu City when at 6:50 p.m., upon reaching the KEPCO Power Corporation in Barangay Colon, City of Naga, it suddenly stopped.

The bus driver, Adriano Emlarino, had to stop the bus after he smelled something burning coming from his fuse box.

As he was about to check the fuse box, fire suddenly broke out and immediately spread all over the bus.

Luckily, Emlarino and his passengers were able to escape without any injuries.

Firefighters from the City of Naga are still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. (JKV)
