AN errand boy of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 was shot dead by riding-in-tandem assailants outside a chapel in Sitio Sudlon, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City past 9 p.m. last Monday.

Police identified him as Sonny Detalya Ronquelio, who succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the head.

SPO1 Winston Ybañez of Cebu City Police Office-Homicide Section received information that the victim was PDEA 7’s cook and errand boy.

He said they are looking at a personal grudge as the motive for the murder.

Investigation showed the gunman arrived on a motorcycle driven by another person. He parked the vehicle nearby, disembarked, and approached the victim.

The gunman then put his hand on the victim’s shoulder. He shot Ronquelio.

After Ronquelio fell on his side, the assailant shot him twice. Ybañez said the gunman possibly knew the victim. (KAL)

The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
