Police raid drug den, arrest 7 persons in Barangay Suba

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 7 and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Mandaue Field Unit arrested seven persons after raiding a drug den along Sto. Niño St. in Brgy. Suba, Cebu City on Friday morning, April 23, 2021.

The persons arrested included Cristito Mijares alias Bakul, 47, the “drug den maintainer” and his accomplice Cinderella Jimenez, alias Inday, 41. Both are from Brgy. Suba.

The police also arrested five mencaught sniffing illegal drugs inside the drug den: Ernani Daro, 31, and Rodrigo Biatingo, 28, both unemployed; Anthony Torbila, 18, a parking boy; Randy Mijarez, 35, a pedicab driver; and a 17-year-old water vendor.

The police confiscated 14 packs of what they believed to be shabu weighing 18 grams and worth P122,400. They also confiscated other drug paraphernalia.

The arrested persons will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (AYB, NRC)
