Police seize P2M worth of drugs in Cebu City, nab 18 persons

A TOTAL of P1.9 million worth of illegal drugs was seized in separate anti-narcotics operations in Cebu City in the past two days.

The drug enforcement units arrested 18 drug personalities.

The operations started past midnight Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, and ended on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 25.

The arrests were carried out by the operatives from the Parian Police Station, Mambaling Police Station, Labangon Police Station, Pardo Police Station, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and City Intelligence Unit.

Suspects will be facing compaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (BBT)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
