A POLICEMAN who was assigned at the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño tested positive for Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), said Cebu City Councilor Joel Garganera.

Garganera, who sits as the deputy chief implementer of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), said the positive test result of the policeman came out on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

He said the policeman was experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 and was swabbed on Monday, January 18.

Garganera said the churchgoers and devotees who went to Basilica do not need to worry since the physical masses during that time have already been cancelled. (JJL)
