Portions of Osmeña Blvd. closed to traffic

PUBLIC and private vehicles will not be allowed temporarily to access portions of Osmeña Blvd. on Sunday, Jan. 13, for the Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan.

The Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) will reroute vehicles on the parade route.

From the Plaza Independencia, dancing contingents will proceed to Osmeña Blvd. corner Legaspi St., then to Plaridel Ext. before proceeding to the Cebu City Sports Center.

CCTO operations chief Francisco Ouano said the road closure near the Plaza Independencia will start at 11 a.m.

It will be open to vehicular traffic immediately after the contingents pass the area, he said.

“To avoid inconvenience being caught in the middle of traffic, we humbly ask the public to avoid the roads near the street dancing route,” Ouano said.

Public utility jeepneys (PUJ) with route 03B will go to F. Ramos St., Junquera St., Sanciangko St., then back to the portion of Osmeña Blvd., towards their usual route.

PUJs with routes 04B, 04D, 04E, 04H, 14D, 17B and 17D will go straight to Gorordo Ave., turn right on Gen. Maxilom Ave., left on F. Ramos St., right on Junquera St., right on Sanciangko St. then head to the downtown area.

PUJs from Banawa and Guadalupe, or PUJs with routes 06B, 06C, 06D, 06E, 06F, 07B, 07C, 07D, 07E and 07H will go to V. Rama Ave., then N. Bacalso Ave. before proceeding to the downtown area. RVC
