Sunnexdesk

LOCAL health authorities and administrators of the Project Balik Buhay (PBB) Vaccination initiative reminded employers to monitor their employees who received the Covid-19 vaccines for any adverse events following immunization (AEFIs) within 24 to 48 hours.

In a reminder the PBB posted on its official Facebook page Sunday, April 18, human resources (HR) personnel of companies were reminded to track any post-vaccination reactions of their employees. Vaccinated employees were asked to reply to an SMS, which they will each receive two days after their vaccination.

For mild reactions, employees were asked to coordinate with their respective HR personnel. In case of severe adverse reactions, employees were advised to seek immediate medical assistance.

Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, spokesperson of the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Visayas, said the PBB Vaccination initiative roll out started Friday, April 16, 2021, wherein pre-listed healthcare workers, senior citizens, and adults with comorbidities-employees of pre-listed companies were to be vaccinated.

She said the first rollout was held at PBB Hospital Centers: Cebu Doctors University Hospital (CDUH) in Cebu City (with 100 pre-listed individuals for vaccination); Chong Hua Hospital in Mandaue City (with 400 pre-listed individuals), and Allegiant Regional Care Hospital in Lapu Lapu City with 100 pre-listed individuals.

These individuals were from the first batch of company applications and employee master lists that were already approved by the DOH-Central Visayas and their local government units.

Loreche said registration for company applications will be until April 30, 2021. (WBS)
