SM Seaside City Cebu has been doing its business for almost three years, and one of its advocacies is the equal treatment to its customers and shoppers.

Last Wednesday, the mall organized a seminar on handling customer with special needs at the Cube Wing, lower ground floor, with at least 200 participants.

The event strengthened SM Seaside’s commitment to customer service, particularly in addressing the needs of persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Four resource speakers, who are also PWDs, discussed customer service for PWDs and awareness to the mall personnel, security personnel, janitorial personnel and tenants.

The speakers were Joseph Jumantoc, president of the Cebu Province/ Region 7 Federation of PWDs; Corazon Clarin, head of the Disability Affairs Office of Cordova town; Marvelous Jorda, president of the Lapu-Lapu City Blind Association; and Mariah Agbay, president of the Mandaue City Federation of the Deaf and member of the board of directors for the Philippine Federation of the Deaf.

SM Supermalls nationwide conducts PWD sensitivity seminar under the SM Cares that aims to transform the mall environment into a loving and caring atmosphere for PWDs.
