CEBU City Councilor Raymond Alvin Garcia was elected president of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL)-Cebu City Chapter during its election on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019.

Garcia thanked his fellow councilors for choosing him.

The son of former Cebu City Mayor Alvin Garcia is now on his second term as one of the north district’s representatives in the City Council.

Garcia’s topmost priority is to give benefits to his fellow legislators.

“Under my administration, I will impose unity for our common goal, which is improving the league and going for the welfare of all councilors under PCL,” he said.

Garcia said he would do his best to give medical and accident insurance to the 17 councilors under the chapter—just like he did when he was still the president of the Barangay Councilors League of the Philippines-Cebu City chapter.

Assisting him in his duties at the PCL-Cebu City Chapter is Councilor Dondon Hontiveros, who was elected vice president. (From PAC of SuperBalita Cebu, KAL)
