ALL security guards who were on-duty at the JCentre Mall in Mandaue City at the time four of its establishments were robbed by armed men have been considered as "persons of interest, a police official said on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019.

Police Col. Ildebrande Usana, Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO 7) deputy director for administration, said they included the security guards in their investigation as they want to know how they failed to initially detect the firearms brought inside the mall by the robbers.

Usana said they also secured the names of the four robbers that remained at large and were reportedly carrying the stolen loot.

Usana said they are also willing to cooperate should the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) initiate an investigation on the deaths of the four robbers in Bogo City last Sunday, Oct. 20.

Usana defended the action of his personnel, adding that the move of police officers to neutralize the four robbers was necessary due to suspicions that they may be members of the notorious Ozamis Robbery Group.
