Senior citizen found dead in San Fernando

A 75-YEAR-OLD man was found lifeless in a bushy area in Barangay Panadtaran, San Fernando town, southern Cebu on Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2022.

Corporal Mario Paul Pino, investigating officer of San Fernando Police Station, identified the victim as George Tañola Paradela of Sitio Panaghiusa of the said barangay.

Based on investigation, the victim attended a wedding prior to the incident.

Neighbors found his body around 3 p.m. Saturday.

By 5:30 p.m, Paradela's death was reported to the San Fernando Police Station.

Pino told SunStar Cebu that there was no indication of foul play or struggle that caused his death.

According to the family of Paradela, he reportedly suffered from several health issues.

The family of Paradela was not willing to consent to autopsy as they were convinced that the victim died a natural death. (GDC)
