DEVOTEES of Señor Sto. Niño who will be attending the first three days of the novena masses for the 456th Fiesta Señor celebration are advised to bring umbrellas and rain coats, as scattered rains are expected starting Friday, January 8, until Sunday, January 10, due to a low pressure area (LPA).

Jhomer Eclarino, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)-Mactan weather specialist, said Metro Cebu and Central Visayas, in general, can expect mostly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with about 90 percent chance of rain over the weekend.

He said they are currently monitoring the LPA, which was spotted at 265 kilometers east southeast of Davao City, Davao del Sur around 3 p.m. Thursday, January 7.

The LPA is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone, said Pagasa. (WBS)
