Top 5 most wanted in Bohol nabbed

A MEMBER of the leftist group and one of the top 5 most wanted persons in Bohol province was arrested by the police during their regionwide Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation past midnight on Friday, February 25, 2022.

The joint operatives from Talibon Police Station led by Captain Gereon Item and other police units conducted the raid against the suspect, Raindro Buno Gabas, 48, in Purok 1, Barangay San Roque, Talibon, Bohol.

Gabas hails from Barangay San Vicente, Trinidad town in Bohol.

Bohol Provincial Police Office spokesman Lieutenant Thomas Zen Cheung said the suspect has a pending murder case and six other frustrated murder cases.

Judge Azucena Macalolot-Credo of Talibon Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 101 issued the warrant for Gabas' arrest in connection with his murder case, and another arrest warrant was issued by Judge Sisinio Virtudazo of Carmen RTC branch 51 against Gabas for his frustrated murder cases. Both cases are non-bailable.

It was learned that Gabas is an active member of a leftist group in Bohol and former chairman of the Talibon Trinidad Integrated Farmers Association.

Gabas is now detained at the Bohol Provincial Police Office detention cell. (BBT, TPT)
