Tumulak to officials: Settle your differences

A CEBU City official will try to resolve the rift between Inayawan Barangay Captain Kirk Bryan Repollo and Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Director Debold Sinas.

Councilor Dave Tumulak, the public order and safety committee chairman, said he will ask the two to settle their differences in a dialogue.

“Dili na lang ta anang kaso-kaso kay lain kaayo tan-awon (We should not resort to filing charges because it does not look good),” he said.

Tumulak and Repollo are allied under Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan.

The feud started last year, after Repollo and his councilors revoked the donation of the lot initiated by Repollo’s predecessor for the construction of a new police station. Repollo’s camp, however, offered another lot to the police, but Sinas refused.

Tensions flared once again after Sinas ordered his intelligence personnel to conduct a background check on Repollo, following the arrest of suspected pusher Elymar Ancajas, who yielded P122.4 million worth of “shabu” during a drug bust in Inayawan.

On Tuesday, March 5, Repollo led the destruction of the perimeter fence on the lot where PRO 7 was set to build the police station.

Repollo said the fence made the area a blind spot for motorists. (From PAC of SuperBalita CEbu, KAL)
