UP Cebu to hold exhibit on martial law Wednesday, Sept 19

THE University of the Philippines Cebu joins the Cebu Press Freedom week with an exhibit dubbed "1081: Interactive. Retrospective" on Wednesday, September 19.

"This is UP Cebu's contribution to the Cebu Press Freedom Week this week," organizers from the BA Communications program of the College of Communication, Art and Design (CCAD), said.

The exhibit will run for one day at the UP Cebu CCAD Multimedia Room.

It is also timed on the 46th anniversary of the declaration of martial law by deposed President Ferdinand Marcos through Presidential Decree 1081 on Friday, September 21.

The activity will feature a simulation of a torture chamber employed during martial law. It will start from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
