USC grad tops Chemist Licensure Exam

A STUDENT from the University of San Carlos (USC) topped the 2018 Chemist Licensure Exam held this October,

Aaron Gabriel Buenconsejo Uy of USC grabbed the top spot with a rating of 91.20 percent.

Coming in at second is Carl Caluag of University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman with 89.50 percent, while Mapua Institute of Technology's Peter Fowler came in third with an 88.35 percent rating.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that out of 1,101 who took the examination, only 496 passed.

Also held in October was the Chemical Technician Licensure Examination where 1,673 out of the 1,916 passed.

Four graduates from the Cebu Institute of Technology- University (CIT-U) entered the top 10 in the said exam.

Venus Ano-os snatched the third spot with 91 percent.

Nikka Nissa Zarsuelo Lopez ranked fifth with 90 percent,

In seventh place is Jupert Jasser Goylan Abellana with 89 percent.

Lord Lawrence Añosa Abayan ranked 10th, with 87.50 percent.

CIT-U is also in sixth place for the top performing schools of the Chemical Technician Licensure Examination, as 90.91 percent of its students passed the exam. (JGS)
