Village officials surrender guns, tools to Danao police

TWO officials of Barangay Quisol, Danao City, Cebu surrendered to the police on Monday afternoon, November 12, unlicensed guns and tools in making illegal firearms.

Superintendent Jaime Quiocho Jr., the city police chief, said Quisol Barangay Captain Jove Bueno and Councilor Edwin Giango turned over a .22 revolver and a . 38 revolver without cylinder.

The village officials convinced the unlicensed gunsmiths in their area to stop their illegal activities in a dialogue.

The gunsmiths gave up some of their tools---two vice clamps, two metal saw handles, a plier, screw driver and 23 pieces of assorted metal file.

Four magazines and three barrels of .45 pistol were also turned over to the police station. (KAL)
