Volunteers process over 130 requests from poor families in Mambaling, Cebu City for late live birth registration

OVER 130 requests for late registration of live birth (LRLB) from identified poor families in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City were processed on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

The requests were processed by the LRLB team of Abtanan sa Kaluoy and Ugnayan ng Barangay at mga Simbahan, and volunteers from the the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Roque, Barangay Mambaling, Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Cebu Chapter, Office of the City Civil Registrar of Cebu City, Department of Social Welfare and Services, and the Cebu Business Park Lions Club.

The Archdiocesan Shrine of San Roque Parish was designated as focal point and coordinator for follow-up activities, including the actual distribution of birth certificates of the beneficiaries of last Saturday’s activity in Mambaling.

With more parishes and barangays requesting for the late registration of its poor constituents, the LRLB team is now formalizing agreements with various volunteer organizations and agencies to ensure a more effective delivery of the program’s services. (PR)
