SOME areas in Metro Cebu are experiencing a water shortage due to the reduced water production of the Cebu Manila Water Development (CMWD).

Affected areas include Compostela, Liloan, Consolacion, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City and parts of Cebu City, mainly a portion of M.J. Cuenco Ave., lower Barangay Mabolo, North Reclamation Area, pier area, Barangay Carreta, Barangay Lorega-San Miguel, Barangay Tejero, Barangay T. Padilla, Barangay Tinago and part of Imus St.

Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) information officer Edna Inocando said the water supply in affected areas will not totally stop, adding that the water pressure only dropped.
