IN THE midst of the country’s current situation, the management of the premier city hotel in Cebu, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, continues to extend a helping hand to its neighboring communities who are affected by the crisis.

On Saturday, May 9, 2020, the management of the city hotel, headed by General Manager Anders Hallden and assisted by Marketing Communications Officer Karen Hassim and Consultant Arnel Aparis, was able to turn over food donations to Barangay Lahug.

Present during the official turnover of goods were Lahug, Cebu City Barangay Captain, Hon. Hazel Ann Muaña-Empleo, and other barangay officials and volunteers.

In total, the hotel was able to donate the following items: 200 sacks of rice, 7,500 cans of beef loaf, 7,500 cans of corned beef, 3,600 cans of pork & beans, and 3,750 cans of tuna.

The recent “Waterfront Cares” donation drive is just one of the many Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that the hotel has been doing for the past two months. True to its mission to serve and support other people who are in need, Waterfront Cebu has also reached out to other medical and government institutions including Cebu City Health Department, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Pahina Central Fire Station, Perpetual Succuor Hospital, Vicente Sotto Cebu Medical Center (VSCMC), and many more.

Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino is one of the well-known landmarks in Cebu City and is the premiere venue for events and conventions in the country.
