A 46-YEAR-OLD woman was declared in critical condition after she was stabbed by her drinking companion.

The incident occurred in Sitio Solong-on, Barangay Tapon, in the southern Cebu town of Dalaguete at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

The victim was identified as Freda Barido Emlarino, a resident of the barangay.

According to a spot report from Dalaguete Police Station, Emlarino and the two suspects were drinking in the town’s barangay Poblacion.

A few hours later, they got drunk.

The suspects offered to take the victim to her home on a motorcycle.

When they arrived, the victim got off but the back rider followed her and repeatedly stabbed her in her right chest without uttering a word.

The suspects fled after the incident, while the victim was brought by the municipality’s disaster risk unit to Argao District Hospital. (GPL/TPT)
