Tell It to SunStar: Losing a great man

Sunnexdesk

By Sen. Risa Hontiveros

TODAY, our country lost a truly great man.

Ka Nene Pimentel is not only one of our most experienced and accomplished civil servants, he is also one of the greatest defenders of freedom and democracy in the history of our country. And his greatness was only eclipsed by his love for this nation and its people.

My sincerest condolences go out to the Pimentel family and to my college mate and colleague, Sen. Koko Pimentel. This is a void that will probably never be filled. But I know he would want us to continue the struggle for freedom, democracy, the defense of human rights and the rule of law, and so we shall. Rest in Peace, Ka Nene. Maraming, maraming salamat sa lahat.
