Tell It to SunStar: That ‘cancel-the-VFA’ joke

JUST what I thought. What President Rodrigo Duterte said about cancelling the Visiting Forces Agreement with the US was nothing but soundbites, all for show.

Proof of that is what Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez said that the Philippines and the US may craft another version of the VFA.

It was not that the decision to cancel the VFA was compelled by the wrong reasons, it was that it was simply unbelievable. Our military simply needs a big brother, the likes of the US military.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
