PROMISING strawweight Lito Adiwang suffered another roadblock to his career after a second round round submission in the hands of former UFC fighter Jarred Brooks in the main event of ONE: “NEXTGEN III” on Nov. 26, 2021 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

Brooks didn’t give Adiwang a chance to unleash his vicious striking by taking him down immediately.

Adiwang stood up later in the round and landed some kicks on Brooks’ body. He also landed a few punches on Brooks.

In the second round, Brooks once again relied on his wrestling and took Adiwang down again. Brooks landed with some elbows to Adiwang’s head.

Adiwang was able to scramble back up to his feet. Brooks attempted a guillotine choke but Adiwang successfully escaped it.

Brooks once again took Adiwang to the ground. This time, Brooks caught Adiwang with a tight triangle choke that forced the Team Lakay standout to tap out at the 3:07 mark.

The 28-year-old Adiwang, the No. 5 rated strawweight, dropped to 13-4, ending a two-fight winning streak. Brooks had a successful debut in ONE and improved to 17-2.

Meanwhile, Rene Catalan also lost via submission in his rematch with former ONE strawweight champion Alex Silva.

Silva took down Catalan on the canvas. Silva positioned himself and caught Catalan with an armbar that forced him to tap in the 3:35 mark of the opening round.

The 42-year-old Catalan suffered his third straight defeat and fell to 6-5, the 39-year-old Silva is 11-6.
