Aldesa Kings Guard beat Wipro Tigers in Game 3 to capture BPO Rivals title

THE Aldesa Kings Guard turned it up in the fourth period to rout the Wipro Tigers, 96-74, in the deciding Game 3 of the BPO Rivals basketball tournament on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Benedicto College gym in Cebu City.

Up by just five, 68-63, heading to the last 10 minutes of action, Aldesa went on a scintillating 28-11 run to build a 22-point lead and never looked back until the game’s final buzzer.

Rian Florita led Aldesa with 24 points and five rebounds, while former University of San Carlos standout Nico Magat had 21 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

Ralph Manigo also had an awesome double-double of 19 points and 10 boards to help Aldesa complete a comeback from a 1-0 deficit in this best-of-three showdown.

Jam Ferraren had 18 points and eight rebounds for Wipro, while JP Faustino fired in 16 markers, five rebounds and five steals. / JNP
