ARQ Builders-KSB Glass forges finals showdown vs. KCS in Charter Cup

THE ARQ Builders-KSB Glass will battle the Kiboy’s Computer Solutions (KCS) for the championship in the Mayor Edgardo C. Labella 1st Charter Cup Basketball Tournament after they upended the Fighter 50, 85-77, in the semifinals at the Cebu City Sports Institute on Monday night, February 24, 2020.

ARQ-KSB dominated the first three periods and was already ahead by 19, 63-44, at the start of the fourth before Fighter 50 made a decent run near the end to bring the final score down to a respectable margin.

This means ARQ-KSB will be battling the unbeaten KCS for the coveted title and the P150,000 cash prize that comes with it. Tip-off is slated at 7 p.m. right after the battle for third place honors game between ASPA and Fighter 50 at 6 p.m.

Reigning Cesafi MVP Shaquille Imperial spearheaded ARQ-KSB with 18 points highlighted by four makes from beyond the arc. Ferdinand Lusdoc added 15 markers even as Jerick Cañada had 12 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals. Reed Juntilla tallied 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.
