Autolab runs over Belaz

THE 1999-Autolab got back on the winning track as it clobbered the 1995-Belaz/Air Spencer, 68-54, in Division A action of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (Shaabaa) Cebu Landmasters Cup on Sept. 4, 2019, at the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along General Maxilom Ave, Cebu City.

After suffering a defeat last weekend, 1999 got off to a blistering start, erecting a 42-20 halftime lead.

Jeremy Huang had a spectacular showing as he produced 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks, while Kent Ong added 13 markers. Man-mountain Robert Gilo was also an imposing presence inside the shaded lane as he tallied 10 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots.

In Division B, Batch 2004 toppled 2007-Topline Ferries, 56-50. Ervin Lopena played like a man among boys as he cashed in 31 points, five rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block to carry his team to the victory.

In Division C, the 2015-StorageTown routed Batch 2018, 68-50, as Niño Araw-Araw sparked his team to the win with 17 points, six boards, eight dimes and a steal. Chaz Cokaliong also played a key role in the win as he tallied 14 points, six boards and two assists. (JNP)
