BaliPure signs Jho Maraguinot

JHO Maraguinot has found a new home in BaliPure after the Water Defenders signed her up for the upcoming season of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

One of the most sought-after free agents after her previous team Perlas took a leave of absence from the PVL, Maraguinot will bolster the Water Defenders’ roster as they seek to improve on their 3-6 (win-loss) showing in last year’s Open Conference tournament.

This will be Maraguinot’s third team in the PVL, after playing for Sta. Lucia in the 2018 Philippine Superliga, and then, the Perlas Spikers in the PVL bubble in Ilocos Norte and the Champions League in Batangas late last year.

Showing its eagerness to join the PVL’s elite, BaliPure went out and signed seven more players including Jamie Lavitoria who joined the team after previously playing for Choco Mucho. Alyssa Eroa and Janine Marciano are also returning to BaliPure, joining the likes of former Cignal aces Julia Ipac and Rafril Aguilar, as well as Marian Buitre and Patty Orendain.

Marciano and Eroa are two pioneering members of BaliPure when they debuted in the 2016 Shakey’s V-League.
