Batch ‘98 remain perfect in DB Cup

BATCH ‘98 are sizzling hot in Division 1 of the Don Bosco Cup “Is Your Pack the Strongest” alumni basketball tournament after logging their fourth straight win last April 13 at the Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) gym.

Batch ‘98 outclassed winless Batch 2002-2003, 64-40.

Vito Holasca led Batch ‘98 with 14 points, seven rebounds and a steal. Clark Savellon and Allan Andrino added 10 apiece.

Coleto Itaas scored nine points for the limping Batch 2002-2003.

Batch ‘98 is at the top of Division 1 with a perfect 4-0 slate.

Batch ‘99, on the other hand, escaped a 67-65 victory over the InGORious Batches in the other Division 1 game.

Haresh Vergara had a huge game with 23 markers, seven boards and a steal, while Romano Brigoli chipped in with 17 points, three rebounds and a block.

Lito Navarro led InGORious Batches with 17 points and three rebounds. Robacs Abella added 14 markers and six steals, while Ramer Estera had 13.

Batch 2016, Batch 2006 Grigios and Batch 2015 walked away with wins in Division 2.

Batch 2016 squeaked past Batch 2018, 48-45.

Jay Vincent Arpon scored 11 points, while Juliano Yusingco had 10 markers along with seven rebounds and two blocks for Batch 2016.

Batch 2006 Grigios defeated Batch 2007, 56-45, while Batch 2015 won against Batch 2011, 60-53. (EKA)
