THE Big Yellow Boxing Gym will showcase three of its most promising young pugs in a boxing show in Sabang, Danao City on Oct. 19, 2019.

Rhonvex Capuloy, Elmer Naason and Maurino Agum will all be fighting in the undercard of the boxing event headlined by Carlo Demecillo.

Capuloy (6-1, 4 KOs) will be up against heavy-handed Jeffrey Stella (4-8-3, 4 KOs) in an eight-rounder.

The unbeaten Naason (3-0, 2 Kos) will lock horns with Mark Anthony Rotilles (2-5, 1 KO), while Agum makes his pro debut against undefeated Jerry Ambrad (1-0).

“All three of them have a bright future in boxing. They all have power and are very brave,” Big Yellow head coach Christopher “Ping-Ping” Tepora told SunStar Cebu.

Among the three, Agum probably is the most interesting talent. The 20-year-old Agum had an impressive amateur career. He had close to 50 amateur fights and has a 46-2 record.

“He has power. He’s quick and he’s tough. He can be world class,” said Tepora, who developed the likes of world champions Johnriel Casimero and Jhack Tepora.

The main event features Demecillo (13-5-1, 6 KOs) taking on Jonathan Francisco (10-12-1, 4 KOs) in what should be a keep-busy fight at the Sabang Sports Complex.

Clyde Azarcon (15-3-1, 5 KOs) looks to bounce back with a 10-rounder with Garry Rojo (9-13-1, 5 KOs).

Also in the undercard, Gogo Melgo makes his pro debut against Rolly Dorong (1-1-2) and Kevin Smith Hermoso trades leathers with fellow newcomer Marvin Campo. (EKA)
