BIT IC-Talibon downs TCC in Bohol tourney

THE BIT International College in Talibon (BIT IC-Talibon) downed Tagbilaran City College (TCC), 95-73, in the Seniors division of the Bohol Schools Athletic Association (BSAA) Season 9 at the University of Bohol gym last Monday, November 4, 2019.

The win was only BIT IC-Talibon’s second in eight matches. TCC on the other hand, has yet to nab a win in seven tries.

BIT IC-Talibon turned things around in the third period where they clicked on all cylinders and outscored TCC, 42-17, to turn a 32-35 halftime deficit into a sizable 74-51 advantage.

Alberto Alvarez sizzled for BIT IC-Talibon as he had 31 points, seven rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot. Joselito Pancito added 14 markers while Alejandro Autida added 10.

In the Juniors division, the University of Bohol picked up its sixth win in eight games with a 103-100 thumping of PMI Colleges Bohol. Horrace Morata led the way for UB with 24 points and eight assists even as Jessie Valeroso added 23 points on his own. Mark Taylaran fired in 22 markers as well.

The loss spoiled the 37-point explosion of PMI’s Socorro Tagaro III as the team dropped to 3-6.
