Caitom faces patsy in regional title fight

Sunnexdesk

CEBUANO boxing coach and fighter Rey Caitom finally gets his shot at a title as he guns for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council (ABC) Continental minimumweight belt against Indonesian patsy Frans Damur Palue in one of the featured bouts of Singapore Fighting Championship 8 - “Renegades of Fight” at the Singapore Foo Chow Association on Sept. 28, 2019.

After retiring in 2006 and working as a trainer for ALA Gym, Caitom returned to the ring 12 years later for some unfinished business.

The 33-year-old Cebuano hopes to get a shot at a world title. Caitom is 8-0-1 with three knockouts, while Palue is 15-22-3 with 10 knockouts.

Caitom should be a step closer and break into the world rankings if he wins the WBC regional belt. (EKA)
