Caitom takes on Thai veteran in Singapore

Sunnexdesk

Former ALA Gym trainer Rey Caitom makes his second fight coming off of retirement on June 29 at Juggernaut Gym in Singapore to take on Khachonsak Pothong.

Caitom, who also started as a boxer at the ALA Gym, returned to boxing after retiring at 20 in 2006 and became a trainer.

Caitom left the Philippines for Singapore, wherein he worked as a boxing trainer before deciding to fight once again.

Caitom had his ring comeback after 13 years with a unanimous decision over Silem Serang.

Caitom will have his hands full against experienced Pothong, a one-time world title challenger.

Although the 37-year-old Pothong is already a shell of his former self, he’s still a good gauge on what level Caitom is at right now.

Pothong has lost his last nine fights.

Caitom is 7-0-1 with two knockouts, while Pothong is 25-18 with nine knockouts. (EKA)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
