Castino wins WBF belt

JHUNRILLE Castino captured the World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Asia Pacific super bantamweight belt with a convincing unanimous decision win over Jeffrey Francisco in the main event of “Kumong Bol-anon 5” on Sunday, June 26, 2022, in Maribojoc, Bohol.

Castino totally outclassed Francisco and got the nod of all three judges with scores of 98-91, 100-89 and 98-91.

Castino improved to 11-1 with four knockouts, while Francisco fell to 15-5-1 a knockout.

In the undercard, Kim Lindog (7-13-1, 5 KOs) scored a third round technical knockout of Marzon Cabilla (18-22-1, 6 KOs), Jake Amparo (9-3-1, 2 KOs) outclassed Ernesto Alera (5-8-1), Daniel Nicolas (5-0, 3 KOs) stayed unbeaten with a unanimous decision over Marjon Piencenaves (6-5-1, 4 KOs), Shane Gentallan (4-0, 2 KOs) scored a third round technical knockout of Ramil Yacapin (2-6, 2 KOs), RJ Sios-e (2-0, 2 KOs) made quick work of Carlos Agustin (0-3) with n opening round stoppage and Gerwin Asilo (1-0, 1 KO) had a successful pro debut with a first round stoppage of fellow newcomer Christian Tiburon.
