Cebu Rider Omega joins Subic triathlon

THE Cebu City Rider Omega Triathlon Team will go full force with 32 triathletes for its first race as a team this 2019 season in the inaugural My Daily Collagen Triathlon set on Feb. 24 in Subic Bay.

This will be the first time that the team will bring the name of Cebu after inking a partnership with the city’s local government unit thru the Cebu City Sports Commission.

“It’s our first race as a team this year and also we will be racing with our new official name. We will send 32 athletes plus one relay team,” team manager Tonyson Luther Lee told SunStar Cebu on Friday.

The event will cover a standard distance race which will have a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40K bike and 1.5K run course, and a sprint distance with 750-meter swim, 18K bike and 5K run.

The Rider Omega Tri Team will gun for a title in the Team Challenge – a competition in the age group where the team with the best average time win. (RSC)
