Cebu wins 14 medals in National Taekwondo

CEBUANO jins had a 14-medal haul in the National Age Group Taekwondo Championships on Sept. 7-8, 2019 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The jins, coming from three clubs in Cebu, bagged four gold medals, four silvers and six bronze medals.

Rodito Sinugbajon of Xanadu Taekwondo won a gold medal in Kyorugi along with Toledo Taekwondo Team’s Elijah Jake Alqueza, and Sugbo Gothong Taekwondo’s Kiemverly Aro and Mea Ann Villaver.

Kym Therese Guilot of Toledo Taekwondo Team and Sugbo Gothong Taekwondo’s Mary Mae Gomez won a silver medal each in Kyorugi, while Toledo Taekwondo’s Audrey Gayle Arnaiz and Nicole Marie Abellanosa impressed with silver medals in Poomsae.

Gabrielli Athena Trocio and Arnaiz won a bronze medal each in Kyorugi. Both Trocio and Arnaiz teamed up with Glaiza Fernandez, all from Toledo Taekwondo Team, to take home the bronze medal in the Cadet Team Advance Poomsae.

Sugbo Gothong Taekwondo’s Rhisha Mae Mansueto, Lovelle Cañada and Pete Marielline Gasillos all took home a bronze medal in Kyorugi. (EKA)
