FORMER Philippine Azkals defender Anton del Rosario have signed up with decorated Cebu club Leylam FC as both a brand ambassador and footballer player.

Del Rosario, one of the members of the Philippine team that scored the Hanoi Miracle in 2010, last played for Global Cebu in the Philippine Football League and also suited for Ilocos prior to that stint.

His signing is a big boost to the Cebuano club as it is trying to boost its squad as it tries to gain entry to the local domestic league.

“Anton is one of the most sought after footballers in the country,” said Leylam FC owner Ugur Tasci.

Leylam is the reigning Aboitiz Cup men’s open champion. (ML)
