Demecillo to face Dasmariñas in Singapore

Sunnexdesk

KENNY Demecillo and International Boxing Organization (IBO) bantamweight king Michael Dasmarinas will be taking on each other in Singapore next year.

Instead of a Nov. 25 fight in Gen. Santos City, which was earlier reported by SunStar Cebu, the Demecillo vs. Dasmarinas all-Filipino International Boxing Federation (IBF) bantamweight title eliminator is slated in March in Singapore.

The 26-year-old Demecillo has won back-to-back fights since a unanimous decision defeat to Mark Anthony Geraldo in 2017, while Dasmarinas has won 10 of his last 11 fights.

He last tasted defeat in 2014 via split decision against Lwandile Sityatha in an IBO super flyweight fight.

Demecillo is 14-4-2 with eight knockouts, while Dasmarinas is 28-2-1 with 19 knockouts. EKA

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
