Domingo gets crack at regional belt

FAST-rising flyweight prospect Esneth Domingo finally gets his big break as he challenges Alphoe Dagayloan for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia flyweight belt on April 13 in Bacoor, Cavite.

“I think this will be his most important fight. This is his first championship, and it’s for a regional title. My advice to him is that he has to do everything to win. I’m sure he’s ahead in power and skills,” Esneth’s uncle and coach Michael Domingo told SunStar Cebu.

The 20-year-old Esneth is on his fourth year as a pro. He has so far been on a tear, winning all of his fights since turning pro in December of 2015.

Esneth won both of his fights last year—a unanimous win over Reymark Taday and a first round stoppage of Ryan Makaputin.

“So far, so good. He had continuous training since January,” said Michael. (EKA)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
